3, 2, 1…oh thank god!

Keanu Reeves is reporting that the live action version of Cowboy Bebop has been put on hold. “I haven’t heard anything back,” Reeves told Collider when asked for a Bebop update. “They turned in the script and it was very expensive. I don’t know if they’re going to…it would cost, like, half a billion dollars to make that script. So, I don’t know where it’s at right now.”

Brandon and I have talked a lot about converting comics to film, but this is one of those situations where cartoon to film would break my heart. Spike Spiegel is such an amazing character that I can’t think of an actor that would do him justice, Keanu Reeves certainly wouldn’t. Hopefully the move is more then on hold, I want it dead. So this is very good news. I think I’ll go home tonight and pull out the DVDs. See you Space Cowboy….
